When listening to Teiji Mack’s music, one can hear the influences spanning across different genres, timelines and possibly universes. All of this started with Teiji’s upbringing. “The earliest I can remember listening to music is with my mom,” Mack recalls. On top of this, Teiji had his own curiosity about the music, watching music videos late at night, Mack was destined to at the absolute least experiment with creating his own music. Further, our hero spent a whole decade in the school band and during that same period fell in love with poetry. That’s not all, because we haven’t even discussed the production side of things. This came as a result of seeing greats like J.Cole, Big K.R.I.T and Ye making their own beats. “I sometimes get really passionate and competitive about the things I do,” Teiji says, “so I tend to take a hands-on approach.” With the origin story of our hero set, Teiji’s raw and explosive interest in the music makes it easy to see that he is a one-of-a-kind artist destined to make his mark on music forever.
